Metamorphosis

I purchased this really cool looking, hard cover, navy blue journal from Barnes & Nobles (My 3rd home, My 2nd home is Starbucks, My first is whenever I'm with my boyfriend) because of the quote that's imprinted on the cover. Usually my journals are black or brown but this one really called out to me because of my current state of mind. The imprint states" Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly". 2007 was such a rough year for me; it was as if everything was collapsing from career to relationships, to finances and health. It was horrible; it really felt like I had no choice but to take every test life had to bring in one year. I don't know if this is a real word but I'd like to call 2007 a Jobial year. For those who aren't familiar with the story of Job in the Old Testament of the Bible, here's an abbreviated version. Great guy, had everything going for him; wife, kids, family, wealth, and riches, healthy, popular. Everybody loved him. But out of nowhere wife dies, kids die, money gone, everyone is cursing him, and is infected with a very noticeable disease. So, yeah I felt like Job ALL of last year. But you know what 2008 signifies a new beginning. Job had his new beginning too, not only was it a new beginning for him but everything he lost was restored to him double time. So I'm looking forward to this New Year, to this new page/chapter of my life. I have a feeling that I'm about to fly!

Really like your statment about your first home being "when your with you boyfriend." He must be a really special guy for you to make a comment like that. I too have a special someone in my life that makes me feel right at home, I've alway been able to be myself, and even become better as a result of this someone being in my life, even though we have had our share of ups and downs. However I do believe that the main ingredient that keeps us going is acknowledging the Lord in our relationship and allowing HIM to guide it.

?...you made a very good point "the main ingredient that keeps us going is acknowledging the Lord in our relationship and allowing HIM to guide it" God is love, He is the center of everything. If more people kept their relationships centered, there would be a lot less divorces.
